Detailed Noise Surveys

Sound Barrier Solutions carry out comprehensive noise measurement surveys to give confidence to their design work. For most environmental noise complaints spot check readings are insufficient. Typically we would carry out 24 hour to weekly noise surveys to gain a detailed picture of the varying noise climate.

We also carry out wide ranging noise surveys on behalf of the Highways Agency, local authorities and the rail industry and have assisted in the use and commissioning of long-term, fixed-noise monitoring systems for industrial sites.

Source Identification

By measuring the night and day noise level variations and by assessing the background level and frequency spectrum, we are able to identify specific noise sources and determine just how intrusive the noise is.

In design, we use our measurements to calibrate and tune our computer noise models. This ensures that our noise predictions are robust and reliable.

Accurate Results

All our equipment is tested and calibrated to UKAS to ensure that our results are as accurate as possible.
